Mission Statement

The mission of The Theatre of the Republic is to provide affordable and quality community theatre for everyone!

Housed within a beautifully renovated historical building on Main Street in downtown Conway, the Theatre of the Republic has been entertaining Brunswick, Horry and Georgetown counties for over 40 years. TOR is a non-profit amateur theatre group with a history of providing high-quality, affordable community theatre.

In addition to six main season shows, TOR produces musical revues, holiday shows, and children's theatre productions. TOR was named the official theatre of Horry County in 1975.

For your convenience, the Main Street Administrative Office is open Monday through Friday 10-6. We are closed Saturday and Sunday. The box office will be open one hour prior to performance times, when you may purchase tickets in person.
