The Theatre of the Republic, located on Main Street in historic downtown Conway, South Carolina, has served as a cultural showcase for the residents of and visitors to the Grand Strand since 1969.

The not-for-profit, non-equity theatre brings high quality theatrical performances of recent and current plays, all produced with the highest
of professional standards applied to each performance, to the regional community throughout the year.

The theatre’s aggressive six-production annual season showcases all-local talent. Each production run of 13 performances entertains approximately 4,000 people; each full season reaches approximately 24,000 ticket buyers.

Our audience demographics span the geographical borders of the Grand Strand, stretching as far west as Florence, S.C., and east to Shallotte, N.C., with large concentrations in Surfside Beach and Garden City, in addition
to Conway and Myrtle Beach. A large portion of our audience members are retired with significant income to invest back into the community. We also enjoy a large following of affluent “snow bird” residents, many from the Northeast United States and Canada.

Sponsoring a production and advertising in the seasonal playbill at Theatre of the Republic enables a business or individual to partner in a significant and crucial role in helping the Theatre of the Republic reach its stated mission “to provide affordable, quality community theatre for everyone,” and also provides worthwhile marketing visibility and reach into a diverse population.

The shows scheduled for our 2012-2013 Season are: Damn Yankees,
Sunset Boulevard, Holiday on Main Street: ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, August: Osage County, The Color Purple  and Curtain Up:
A Broadway Musical Review.

We hope that you will choose to be part of our theatre family by sponsoring a production and advertising in our seasonal playbill!
